Miral Experiences is offering an exciting opportunity to join the SeaWorld Abu Dhabi team as a Zoological Senior Specialist. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the zoological department, focusing on animal training, husbandry, enrichment, guest interactions, public presentations, and research.

This position involves physical activity, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25kgs. Flexibility to work varying shifts such as opening, mid, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily husbandry tasks, including administering vitamins and medications.

• Prepare food and provide proper nutrition and care for animals.

• Maintain safe, sanitary, and appropriate living conditions for animal habitats.

• Apply advanced behavioral modification techniques, including developing and implementing new behaviors and training animals independently.

• Oversee training and evaluation of colleagues and animals as directed by leadership.

• Ensure safety of guests, staff, contractors, and animals through proactive monitoring.

• Deliver exceptional guest services through animal programs, displays, and guest interactions.

• Conduct educational and public programs in assigned areas.

• Observe and report animal health and behavior concerns.

• Maintain accurate records, equipment, and daily communications.

• Serve as an ambassador, demonstrating professionalism, cooperation, and reliability.

• Adhere to all policies, SOPs, and safety guidelines, including use of PPE.

• Participate in professional development and required trainings.

• Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Open Water SCUBA certification (not required for Aviculture).

• Minimum 3 years of professional animal care experience.

• Strong swimming and diving skills (not required for Aviculture).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Basic math and computer skills (MS Office, animal recording systems).
