Role Description:
The company is seeking a Senior IP Lawyer to lead its global intellectual property program, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, trade secrets, and domains. The role involves setting IP strategy, securing registrations, enforcing rights, resolving disputes, and supporting commercial and digital brand protection initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Portfolio Strategy: Design annual IP filing/renewal roadmap, audit portfolio, and recommend strategic filings.

• Clearance & Prosecution: Oversee searches, legal opinions, filings, renewals, and copyright registrations.

• Enforcement & Dispute Resolution: Manage oppositions, DMCA notices, domain disputes, litigation, and settlements.

• Commercial Support: Draft and negotiate IP clauses in licensing, M&A, and technology agreements; advise teams on IP usage.

• Digital Brand Protection: Monitor infringements across platforms and authorize takedowns efficiently.

• Governance & Reporting: Maintain audit-ready records, provide weekly updates, and create IP heat-maps.

• Leadership: Mentor team members, develop SOPs, and improve enforcement/prosecution efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

• LL.B./JD with active license in at least one jurisdiction.

• 7+ years of hands-on IP experience, including brand protection, takedown enforcement, and contested matters.

• Proven success in oppositions, UDRP/URS, and multi-country litigation or high-value settlements.

• Strong contract-drafting skills for licensing and tech transactions.

• Fluent English; additional Asian/EU language is an advantage.

• Proficiency with IP-management and brand-monitoring platforms (Corsearch, MarkMonitor, Red Points).

• Data-driven, decisive under pressure, persuasive negotiator, high integrity, and mentorship abilities.

Performance Metrics (First 12 Months):

• Completion of all critical filings, renewals, and recordals on schedule.

• ≥ 90% acceptance rate for new applications.

• 24-hour response to high-risk infringements; average takedown ≤ 3 days.

• Documented cost avoidance/recoveries ≥ USD 500k.

• Implementation of ≥ 2 SOPs reducing cycle time > 15%.
