Job Description

Bid Solutions is hiring a Senior Data Protection Officer to develop and manage its global data protection and privacy frameworks. This role requires ensuring compliance with global and local data privacy laws while promoting best practices, risk mitigation, and awareness across the organization.

This is a strategic leadership position that works across departments—including legal, IT, security, HR, and senior management—to maintain regulatory compliance and ensure the protection of personal and sensitive data.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive data protection policies aligned with global and local regulations.

• Ensure all data processing activities comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

• Serve as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies and manage audits or inquiries.

• Lead and conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and risk mitigation planning.

• Work with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure security frameworks protect sensitive data.

• Oversee internal audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and enforce compliance.

• Create and deliver employee training on data privacy practices and responsibilities.

• Provide privacy-by-design guidance on new systems, services, and technologies.

• Advise leadership on data protection strategies, trends, and regulatory updates.

• Manage third-party data processing agreements to ensure full compliance.

• Foster collaboration across legal, HR, IT, and business units to embed data privacy in operations.

• Engage with regulators, legal advisors, and external auditors on compliance-related matters.

Requirements

• Law degree with recognized data protection certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPT).

• 10–15 years of experience in data protection and privacy compliance.

• In-depth knowledge of GDPR, EU privacy laws, and global data protection regulations.

• Proven experience with information security, risk assessment, and compliance audits.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience in privacy frameworks across IT systems and digital infrastructures.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional projects involving legal, technical, and operational teams.
