  • Dibba Bay Oysters is seeking a Procurement Executive to manage procurement activities and supplier relationships. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services that meet the company’s quality and delivery standards. The Procurement Executive will work closely with suppliers, negotiate contracts, maintain data in ERP systems, and ensure compliance with procurement policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Operations:

    • Prepare and issue RFQs and invitations to suppliers.

    • Analyze supplier proposals to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

    • Oversee Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) and manage purchasing activities.

    • Monitor procurement budgets and ensure purchases align with financial goals.

    • Ensure compliance with audit and documentation standards.

  • Supplier Management:

    • Evaluate and recommend suppliers based on quality and reliability.

    • Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers.

    • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and monitor performance.

  • Master Data and ERP Management:

    • Update and maintain supplier and item data in the ERP system.

    • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in procurement databases.

  • Compliance and Policy Adherence:

    • Ensure adherence to procurement policies and regulatory standards.

    • Maintain organized procurement documentation and transaction records.

  • Cost Optimization and Market Research:

    • Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities.

    • Implement strategies to optimize procurement costs.

    • Anticipate price fluctuations and manage cost strategies.

  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify and recommend improvements in procurement processes.

    • Implement innovative solutions for enhanced efficiency.

  • Industry-Specific Requirements:

    • Respond to procurement requests for aquaculture-related supplies.

    • Ensure proper documentation for aquaculture purchases and inspections.

    • Monitor compliance with marine safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Experience:

    • 3–5 years of experience in procurement, ideally in aquaculture, seafood, or agriculture.

    • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage).

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and contract negotiation.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and interpersonal abilities.

  • Certifications:

    • Professional certifications (CIPS, CPSM) are an advantage.
