Job Overview

TruDoc is looking for a Medical Underwriter to join its team in Dubai. This is a key position responsible for evaluating medical risk, supporting accurate policy decisions, and ensuring the integrity of the underwriting process across healthcare plans and wellness programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical reports, diagnostics, and case histories to guide underwriting decisions

• Collaborate with clinical, actuarial, and claims teams to evaluate risk and recommend policy terms

• Apply underwriting protocols aligned with company standards and global compliance regulations

• Provide detailed risk assessments for group and individual healthcare plans

• Monitor emerging medical trends and assess potential health risk factors

• Document all evaluations, communications, and decisions accurately

• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and case reviews

• Assist in pre-authorization assessments, claims evaluations, and wellness eligibility reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field

• 2–5 years of experience in clinical practice, healthcare administration, or medical underwriting

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills

• Understanding of insurance policies, medical coding, and healthcare delivery frameworks

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

• Proficiency with medical data systems and digital tools
