Job Title: Health & Safety Officer
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Health & Safety Officer to ensure that all construction projects comply with the latest health, safety, and environmental standards. You will play a key role in enforcing regulations, conducting inspections, and enhancing the organization’s commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Implement and monitor all health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) procedures and policies as per company standards.

Conduct frequent site inspections to ensure compliance with KCG’s safety regulations and international safety standards.

Develop, update, and enforce health and safety guidelines, policies, and procedures in line with industry best practices.

Conduct risk assessments and safety analysis to control high-risk construction activities.

Identify unsafe practices, equipment, or conditions and recommend corrective actions.

Participate in and lead investigations of accidents or incidents, prepare reports, and propose preventive measures.

Attend project HSE meetings and coordinate with contractors and project managers to resolve any safety issues.

Maintain accurate documentation, including audit reports, incident logs, and safety reports.

Provide monthly updates on audit closures, site safety status, and performance metrics.

Oversee industrial hygiene, equipment safety, and implementation of preventive safety programs.

Ensure timely submission of all health and safety reports.

Support senior management in meeting departmental goals related to site safety and worker well-being.
Skills & Requirements:

Education: Diploma in Industrial or Civil Engineering or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a health and safety role, preferably in construction.

Certifications (Mandatory): OSHAD, NEBOSH, ISO 45001, IOSH Managing Safely (MS), IOSH Working Safely (WS).

Language: English (Required).
Additional Skills:

Strong knowledge of occupational safety laws and construction regulations.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Strong decision-making and incident follow-up skills.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Strong communication and coordination skills.
