Job Title: Health & Safety Officer

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Health & Safety Officer to ensure that all construction projects comply with the latest health, safety, and environmental standards. You will play a key role in enforcing regulations, conducting inspections, and enhancing the organization’s commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor all health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) procedures and policies as per company standards.

  • Conduct frequent site inspections to ensure compliance with KCG’s safety regulations and international safety standards.

  • Develop, update, and enforce health and safety guidelines, policies, and procedures in line with industry best practices.

  • Conduct risk assessments and safety analysis to control high-risk construction activities.

  • Identify unsafe practices, equipment, or conditions and recommend corrective actions.

  • Participate in and lead investigations of accidents or incidents, prepare reports, and propose preventive measures.

  • Attend project HSE meetings and coordinate with contractors and project managers to resolve any safety issues.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, including audit reports, incident logs, and safety reports.

  • Provide monthly updates on audit closures, site safety status, and performance metrics.

  • Oversee industrial hygiene, equipment safety, and implementation of preventive safety programs.

  • Ensure timely submission of all health and safety reports.

  • Support senior management in meeting departmental goals related to site safety and worker well-being.


Skills & Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma in Industrial or Civil Engineering or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a health and safety role, preferably in construction.

  • Certifications (Mandatory): OSHAD, NEBOSH, ISO 45001, IOSH Managing Safely (MS), IOSH Working Safely (WS).

  • Language: English (Required).

Additional Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of occupational safety laws and construction regulations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong decision-making and incident follow-up skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
