Job Overview:
The Government Relations Lead will oversee and direct activities within the Government Relations Department, developing and implementing strategies, managing relationships with key government stakeholders, and ensuring that the company’s interests are well-represented. This full-time, on-site role is vital to ensuring compliance with government regulations and seamless coordination with relevant authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Government Relations Strategy & Coordination:

Lead the Government Relations team, ensuring smooth communication with government authorities.

Develop and implement strategies that align with company objectives and comply with local regulations.

Serve as the primary interface between IMI and government bodies, consulates, and relevant agencies.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including immigration, labor, and other agencies.

Provide strategic guidance to senior management on government relations matters.
Employee & Dependent Affairs:

Oversee work permits, residency visas, and other necessary documentation for employees and dependents.

Ensure compliance with visa processing and renewal regulations.

Supervise the repatriation process and manage employee documentation efficiently.
Business Facilitation & Licensing:

Administer company licenses and permits, ensuring compliance with authorities such as the Economic Department and Ministry of Finance.

Facilitate business visas and entry permits for international visitors.

Monitor changes in government policies and ensure compliance with new regulations.
Regulatory Compliance & Monitoring:

Stay informed about regulatory changes and their potential impact on the company.

Ensure all government-related tasks are executed in full compliance with local laws, including labor and immigration.

Supervise the preparation of regulatory documents and reports.
Team Leadership & Development:

Manage and mentor the Government Relations team, including the Public Relations Officer.

Foster a collaborative environment and provide training opportunities for team members.

Monitor team performance, ensuring timely completion of tasks and compliance with deadlines.
General Administrative & Operational Support:

Provide strategic oversight of administrative functions related to government relations.

Assist with reports, presentations, and communication for senior leadership on government relations activities.

Ensure efficient execution of administrative tasks, including managing documents and correspondence.
Ad-hoc and Additional Responsibilities:

Take on special projects as directed by senior leadership.

Provide cross-departmental support to contribute to the success of the organization.
Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, or related fields (Master’s preferred).

7-10 years of experience in senior government relations or public affairs roles.

In-depth knowledge of UAE laws, government processes, and regulations.
-
Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
-
Fluent in Arabic and English with excellent communication skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
