Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP), a leading organization in the aviation infrastructure sector, is seeking a qualified Safety Officer to join its Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Logistics Unit. This role is central to ensuring the safety, environmental protection, and regulatory compliance across all project operations.
As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of occupational health and safety, ensuring alignment with UAE legislation and international best practices. You will support the implementation of safety strategies, monitor compliance, and contribute to a secure and sustainable project environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with UAE safety, health, and environmental laws and international standards.

Monitor contractors and consultants to ensure proper environmental protection, hazardous material management, and waste handling.

Implement and oversee HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) procedures within DAEP.

Track progress of safety programs and take corrective measures when needed.

Provide technical support and advice within the department.

Assist in internal and external communication and report preparation.

Produce accurate reports, presentations, and confidential documentation as required.

Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain high standards of safety and communication.

Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
Education & Certification Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management from an accredited institution.

NEBOSH or equivalent safety certification is desirable.

Strong computer literacy, especially in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience:
-
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a reputable organization.
-
At least 2 years of experience in the Middle East.

Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is highly desirable).
Technical Skills:
-
Deep knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and welfare regulations.

Familiarity with emergency procedures, fire safety, and first aid protocols.

Skilled in incident investigation and unsafe condition reporting.

Proficiency in preparing HSSE reports and presentations.

Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends.

Strong data management and reporting capabilities.
