Section 1: Personal Details

UAE hiring managers receive many job applications from around the world. Since you are applying in Gulf countries, the recruiters want to know about some personal details. Typically, UAE recruiters search for the following information in the personal area of your CV: name, date of birth, location, nationality, driving license data, gender, location, and languages you speak.

Add the following personal details to your Dubai resume.

  • Your full name
  • Job title
  • A functioning email address.
  • Phone number with your country code
  • Location (whether you reside in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates or from another nation)
  • LinkedIn profile link
  • Eligible to work in the UAE and disclose sponsorship

Section 2: Summary

According to experts, a recruiter spends approximately six seconds determining whether an applicant is suitable for the job or not. The first thing a recruiter reads in your resume is the summary. Therefore, make sure that you write a compelling summary of your achievements. Keep the summary clear and concise. Do not write a long story there. Make sure to personalize your summary for each job application by adding the name of the organization and summarising the description as per the job you are applying for.

Your resume summary should include:

  • Your current job title and area of expertise
  • How much experience do you have in this field
  • Your most relevant skills
  • Your main achievements
  • How can you contribute to the company/department/team’s objectives?

Section 3:  Work Experience

When mentioning your professional experience in the UAE CV or Resume, adopt reverse chronological order. This means that the most recent job experience should be displayed at the top of the list. Use bullet points to describe each experience. Also, be sure to present your experience as an achievement.

Don’t write blank sentences like Wonder in a sales team, the written number of reports gave a lot of input. Instead, wrote like increased sales by 50% in the last quarter, wrote 50 reports, work on 7 major projects.

Add the following details in your work experience section:

  • Job title
  • Company name
  • Date of employment
  • 4-5 bullet points (or more or fewer depending on how much you’ve accomplished in this job).
