Springer Nature is looking for an experienced Publisher or Senior Publisher to join its international editorial team. The role involves managing a defined portfolio of journals, working with researchers, editors, and societies to grow and develop high-quality academic content. This position is offered in Dubai, Paris, or London on a hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and grow a portfolio of academic journals

• Drive journal development and author engagement strategies

• Build and maintain relationships with Editors-in-Chief, Editorial Boards, and partner societies

• Monitor and report KPIs such as submissions, publication volume, turnaround times

• Develop and execute journal improvement plans

• Manage ethical issues and post-publication queries

• Attend conferences and meetings (virtually or in person) to represent Springer Nature

• Collaborate across departments (Sales, Production, Marketing, etc.)

• Identify new journal and commercial opportunities

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferably life/biomedical sciences)

• Experience in academic publishing and journal development

• Fluent in English (French or Arabic is a plus)

• Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities

• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and as part of a global team

• Willingness to travel occasionally

Preferred:

• Previous experience managing hard science journals

• Project management experience
