CB&I, a global leader in designing and constructing storage tanks and terminals for energy infrastructure, is hiring a Principal EPC Estimator for their Dubai operations. This full-time, on-site role involves independently preparing complex, large-scale EPC estimates (>$100M), leading estimation projects, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver high-quality proposals for commercial bids.

The ideal candidate will bring over 15 years of relevant experience in estimating, strong EPC project expertise, and advanced analytical and software proficiency to develop fully priced, accurate cost models across all project disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complete EPC estimates, including precontract budgeting, discipline coordination, and cost modeling

• Handle estimates for medium/small EPC projects independently and large-scale projects with minimal supervision

• Collaborate with operations, engineering, supply chain, and fabrication teams to develop comprehensive estimates

• Present estimates and justifications to management and lead Open Book Estimate reviews

• Develop and maintain pricing databases, cost standards, procedures, and benchmarking tools

• Perform risk analyses and lead risk register workshops

• Travel to project sites as required to support estimation activities

• Provide cost-effective and competitive bid solutions and alternatives

• Lead and mentor other estimators while maintaining accountability to precontract schedules

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience

• 15+ years of industry experience, with at least 10 years in estimating roles

• Proven experience estimating large EPC projects (> $100M)

• Proficiency in multiple EPC disciplines and construction estimation techniques

• Skilled in MS Excel; experience in Power BI and VBA is a plus

• Strong understanding of EPC processes, construction sequencing, and procurement

• Knowledge of legal, financial, and risk aspects in large contracts

• Experience in both client-side and subcontractor-side estimation roles
