DP World is hiring a dedicated Inspector – Safety to oversee and ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) standards across projects. The role involves managing daily safety operations, conducting inspections, driving awareness campaigns, and ensuring implementation of the company’s Health & Safety policies and procedures. This position is crucial in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace, particularly within ship/rig repair, conversion, offshore construction, and related environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day OH&S activities to ensure policies and procedures are properly implemented.

• Conduct timely and accurate safety inspections, including gas monitoring as required.

• Ensure effective implementation of the Permit to Work system.

• Monitor compliance with OH&S requirements and project-specific safety plans.

• Lead safety awareness campaigns to promote a positive safety culture.

• Participate in accident investigations, root cause analysis, and report preparation.

• Identify and recommend improvements to safety practices and processes.

• Liaise with project managers, clients, and contractors on safety matters.

• Implement and monitor OH&S and Environmental Systems.

• Assist in employee safety briefings and training.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports.

• Support Emergency Response Teams (ERT) during emergency situations.

Skills & Qualifications

• NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent qualification in safety.

• Knowledge in Safety Risk Assessment and Accident Investigation.

• Experience in conducting safety inspections.

• Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Safety Inspector or in a similar role.

• Experience in ship/rig repair, conversion, offshore construction, or new building projects.

• Solid knowledge of Safety Management practices and tools.

• Familiarity with OHSAS 18001 and OHS Management Systems.

• Understanding of relevant legal and regulatory standards in Occupational Health & Safety.
