VaporVM is seeking a skilled Network Engineer with hands-on experience in routing, switching, and firewall administration. The ideal candidate will ensure secure and reliable network operations while providing proactive network support and optimization. This role requires proficiency in Cisco and Fortinet systems, along with strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure, monitor, and maintain routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto).

• Administer and support LAN/WAN networks to ensure high availability and performance.

• Perform end-to-end network troubleshooting for routing, switching, and firewall issues.

• Implement routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP based on project requirements.

• Configure VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, HSRP, NAT, and ACLs for secure and efficient network operations.

• Manage and support VPN solutions including IPSec, GRE, DMVPN, and Site-to-Site VPNs.

• Conduct proactive network health checks, implement corrective measures, and optimize performance.

• Provide first- and second-level network security support, applying security patches and updates.

• Monitor network performance using tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds NPM, and Cisco IOS utilities.

• Maintain thorough documentation of network configurations, backups, and disaster recovery plans.

• Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement scalable and secure network solutions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Network Engineer.

• Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, VLANs, Routing, and Switching technologies.

• Hands-on expertise in Cisco ASA Firewall (ACL, NAT, VPN, Failover, Cluster).

• Experience with Fortinet Firewall administration.

• Proficiency in IP addressing, subnetting, and routing technologies.

• Familiarity with Layer 2 security features (DHCP snooping, Port Security, BPDU Guard).

• Experience using network simulation and monitoring tools (EVE-NG, GNS3, Packet Tracer, Wireshark).

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
