✨ Job Description:

Charterhouse is supporting a company in recruiting a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their centralised regional finance department in Dubai. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial accounting for the regional business, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and preparing quarterly VAT returns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Accounting: Oversee all financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and timely reporting.

• Transactional Accounting: Manage accounts payable/receivable and supervise the reconciliation process.

• General Ledger: Oversee the maintenance and management of the general ledger and ensure accurate data input into SAP accounting systems.

• Tax & Compliance: Prepare VAT returns, ensure compliance with local tax regulations, and act as the liaison with internal and external auditors.

• Cashflow & Working Capital: Support in managing working capital, cashflow reports, and ensure business reporting for management.

• Internal Controls & Audit: Manage internal accounting systems and oversee audit processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

✨ Requirements:

• Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, or CPA (or part-qualified).

• Experience: A proven background in finance/accounting roles, ideally within professional services or a similar operational finance environment.

• Systems Proficiency: Strong knowledge of SAP ERP, Excel (advanced), and in-house accounting systems for data analysis.

• Tax & Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of regional tax regulations and the ability to work with internal/external audit partners.

• Business Acumen: Ability to manage working capital, cashflow positions, and MIS reporting, enabling effective business partnering and group reporting.
