Accor’s SO/ Hotels, a stylish and avant-garde luxury hotel brand rooted in the fashion world since 2011, is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Barista to join their team in Dubai. This full-time, on-site position offers an exciting opportunity to craft high-quality coffee beverages and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, luxury hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks including espresso-based beverages, drip coffee, and specialty drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.

• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment.

• Provide friendly and efficient customer service, taking orders and answering menu-related questions.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.

• Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point-of-sale system.

• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation to ensure availability of coffee supplies.

• Stay updated on coffee trends, brewing techniques, and menu offerings.

• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations, especially during peak hours.

• Contribute to creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for customers.

• Adapt to changing customer needs and preferences, including an understanding of Dubai’s local coffee culture.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a barista in a high-end café, hotel, or restaurant.

• Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso preparation, and latte art.

• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

• Proficient in operating and maintaining coffee equipment.

• Good communication skills and teamwork ability.

• Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.

• Food safety and hygiene certification as per local regulations.

• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• Barista certification preferred but not mandatory.

• Passion for coffee and enthusiasm for delivering exceptional beverage experiences.

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
