About the Role:

Rythm Training Zone is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Underwriter to join their team in Dubai. The successful candidate will assess insurance risk, collaborate with brokers and insurers, and contribute to underwriting both new and renewal business. This is an opportunity for an experienced insurance professional to play a key role in the company’s risk evaluation and underwriting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct accurate and thorough risk assessments to evaluate applications.

• Explain complex risks and suggest viable insurance solutions across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Northern Emirates.

• Determine appropriate coverage, product types, and pricing based on client needs.

• Meet with brokers and insurers to collect information and negotiate optimal terms.

• Underwrite both new and renewal policies, ensuring sound decisions and risk management.

• Review policy coverage, exclusions, restrictions, and premiums for accuracy and completeness.

• Address underwriting queries within delegated authority or escalate complex cases when necessary.

• Maintain accurate records of policies and underwriting activities.

• Ensure regulatory compliance with all UAE insurance laws and frameworks.

• Stay updated on market trends, insurance products, and underwriting best practices.

• Support the Business Development team through product training and technical assistance.

• Analyze underwriting performance and provide strategic insights to improve operations.

• Participate in the Technical Underwriting Review Process for consistency and quality assurance.

• Resolve technical problems by referring to internal policies and industry standards.

• Recommend improvements to procedures, products, and underwriting approaches.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of core experience in technical underwriting.

• Prior experience with an insurance broker, TPA, or insurance company is preferred.

• Solid understanding of UAE insurance regulations and regional underwriting practices.

• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

• Familiarity with compliance standards, policy wordings, and risk strategy.

• Relevant insurance certifications are a plus.
