ACCEL Human Resource Consultants is seeking a seasoned Head of Business Development with deep experience in ship-building and ship repair. This full-time, on-site leadership role involves managing the Sales & Marketing team to drive business growth, build client partnerships, and execute long-term strategies aligned with company goals in the marine sector.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Sales & Marketing team, including sales managers and marketing professionals.

Develop and implement strategic business development plans to increase market share and revenue.

Identify new business opportunities and build long-term client relationships.

Oversee contract negotiations ensuring profitable deals while maintaining strong client satisfaction.

Collaborate with Production, Operations, Finance, and Customer Service departments to support client projects.

Appoint and manage overseas agents as part of sales strategy where applicable.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols and marine industry regulations in all business activities.

Monitor sales performance, assist finance with payment collections, and provide progress reports to senior management.

Mentor and motivate the sales team to achieve targets and foster a high-performance culture.

Manage budgets and resources to maximize profitability and minimize risk.
Candidate Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).

7-10 years of progressive experience in business development or leadership within the marine/shipping industry.

Strong knowledge of the ship-building, ship repair, offshore services, and marine regulatory environment.

Proven leadership and team management skills.

Expertise in contract negotiation and client relationship management.

Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and adapt business strategies.
