ACCEL Human Resource Consultants is seeking a seasoned Head of Business Development with deep experience in ship-building and ship repair. This full-time, on-site leadership role involves managing the Sales & Marketing team to drive business growth, build client partnerships, and execute long-term strategies aligned with company goals in the marine sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Sales & Marketing team, including sales managers and marketing professionals.

• Develop and implement strategic business development plans to increase market share and revenue.

• Identify new business opportunities and build long-term client relationships.

• Oversee contract negotiations ensuring profitable deals while maintaining strong client satisfaction.

• Collaborate with Production, Operations, Finance, and Customer Service departments to support client projects.

• Appoint and manage overseas agents as part of sales strategy where applicable.

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and marine industry regulations in all business activities.

• Monitor sales performance, assist finance with payment collections, and provide progress reports to senior management.

• Mentor and motivate the sales team to achieve targets and foster a high-performance culture.

• Manage budgets and resources to maximize profitability and minimize risk.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).

• 7-10 years of progressive experience in business development or leadership within the marine/shipping industry.

• Strong knowledge of the ship-building, ship repair, offshore services, and marine regulatory environment.

• Proven leadership and team management skills.

• Expertise in contract negotiation and client relationship management.

• Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and adapt business strategies.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
