About the Project:
Join ENGIE on an ambitious 1,500 MW Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant Project in Abu Dhabi. This large-scale renewable energy project contributes directly to the UAE’s 2050 energy vision and offers long-term impact and career growth in the renewable sector. The project involves engineering, construction, commissioning, and operation, providing comprehensive exposure to cutting-edge solar technology.
Job Description:
The Quality Engineer will develop and implement the Project Quality Management System across the entire lifecycle—from engineering to commissioning. You will ensure compliance with ENGIE policies, client expectations, contractual obligations, and international standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain the Project QA Manual, QCPs, ITPs, and audit plans

Lead quality audits across engineering, procurement, and construction phases

Approve QA/QC documentation submitted by EPC contractors and subcontractors

Supervise inspections at vendor locations and on-site installations
-
Monitor quality KPIs and report to senior management

Lead root cause analyses and non-conformance resolutions

Verify quality of incoming materials, commissioning, and FAT/SAT compliance

Manage punch lists, quality walk-downs, and final dossier submissions

Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including vendors and regulatory bodies

Qualifications:
-
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Quality Management
-
Experience: Minimum 8 years in QA/QC for large-scale EPC projects (preferably in the GCC)

Sector Expertise: Solar PV, renewable energy, substation integration, SCADA, tracker systems
-
Standards & Tools: ISO 9001, solar BOS standards, root cause analysis tools, QA/QC documentation
Preferred Competencies:

Experience in high-volume civil/electrical works

Quality oversight for DC cabling, module installation, tracker systems

Familiarity with governmental approvals (e.g., DEWA, Transco)

Hands-on with document control and digital quality tools
