Miral Experiences is looking for a dedicated Zoological Senior Specialist to join its team at SeaWorld Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing animal husbandry, training, enrichment, guest interactions, and public presentations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in animal care, diving certification, and the ability to train both animals and colleagues under the zoological leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily animal husbandry tasks, including preparing food, administering vitamins/medications, and maintaining safe, sanitary habitats.

• Apply advanced behavioral modification techniques for training, enrichment, and conditioning.

• Train naïve animals, maintain conditioned behaviors, and develop relationships across animal groups.

• Oversee training and development of colleagues and assist leadership in animal programs.

• Ensure safety of guests, staff, contractors, and animals by monitoring behaviors and maintaining safety protocols.

• Deliver engaging guest services, presentations, and education programs.

• Observe and report animal health, behavior, and abnormalities daily.

• Maintain animal records, equipment, and area responsibilities consistently.

• Adhere to all SOPs, policies, and safety guidelines.

• Participate in continuous training, professional development, and special assignments as required.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

• Open Water Dive/SCUBA certification (mandatory).

• Minimum 3 years of professional animal care experience in a zoological or aquarium setting.

• Strong knowledge of fish, reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrate husbandry, nutrition, and natural history.

• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

• Strong swimming and diving skills.

• Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, animal record systems).

• Good teamwork, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Physical & Work Requirements:

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.

• Ability to lift up to 25 kg.

• Flexible schedule including opening/closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
