Ajman University is seeking a skilled X-ray Technician to assist students and clinical staff in radiographic procedures. This full-time, on-site role involves taking both intraoral and extraoral radiographs, maintaining records, and ensuring radiation safety for all patients, including children and patients with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students in taking conventional and digital radiographs.

• Support nurse staff in dental clinics.

• Perform intraoral radiographs: periapical, bite-wing, and occlusal films; localization techniques.

• Perform extraoral radiographs: OPG, posterior-anterior projection, Water’s view, Reverse Towns, lateral oblique, cephalometric lateral skull, TMJ views.

• Handle patients with special considerations: children, handicapped, physically or mentally impaired patients.

• Mount, label, and maintain radiographic files and diagnostic records.

• Maintain dosimetry records and adhere to radiation protection measures.

• Knowledge of X-ray production, machine components, film principles, film processing (manual & automatic), biological effects of ionizing radiation, and radiation safety.

Requirements / Candidate Profile:

• Relevant certification or degree in Radiology or X-ray technology.

• Familiarity with conventional and digital radiographic procedures.

• Understanding of radiation safety and protection standards.

• Ability to handle patients with varying needs professionally.
