Role Description:
The Wet Utilities Inspector will join a multidisciplinary team for a project in Madinat Zayed, Abu Dhabi. The role involves inspecting construction activities, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality standards, and safety procedures, particularly in sewerage, stormwater, and large-scale road construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist RE/PM, Mechanical Engineer, or MEP Lead with contractual duties on site.

Review and approve contractor submittals; monitor quality control and assurance.

Inspect construction activities to ensure adherence to codes, standards, and specifications.

Interface with residents and businesses to mitigate construction impacts.

Document non-conformances and participate in resolution processes.

Monitor underground piping installation, including bedding, grade, and pressure tests.

Verify equipment alignment and oversee mechanical work quality.

Coordinate with utility authorities regarding connections as needed.

Maintain records, reports, back charges, and project turnover documentation.

Supervise team work schedules, performance, and capability building.

Ensure compliance with HSE policies, quality assurance procedures, and operational standards.

Support client and customer management for external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Diploma acceptable).

Minimum 5 years of experience in wet utilities inspection.

Experience in large-scale road construction and city development projects.

Strong knowledge of deep excavation, dewatering, and utility interface works.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Commitment to HSE compliance and quality assurance.
