Job Title: Watchman & Maintenance Officer

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Watchman to oversee the security and maintenance of three buildings. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in security patrols and basic electrical maintenance. This role requires a vigilant individual who can ensure the safety of the premises, handle maintenance issues, and respond to emergencies when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitoring & Patrolling:

  • Regularly patrol all areas of the buildings to ensure safety and check for any suspicious activity.

  • Ensure that all entry and exit points are secure and that surveillance systems (CCTV) are functioning properly.

• Access Control:

  • Authorize and monitor the entry of visitors, employees, and vehicles.

  • Maintain an organized logbook for visitors, deliveries, and other entries.

• Reporting & Documentation:

  • Report any security breaches, unusual occurrences, or damages to higher authorities.

  • Keep detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and any theft or vandalism.

• Emergency Response:

  • Respond quickly to alarms or emergencies such as fire, theft, or accidents.

  • Contact emergency services (police, fire department, medical) when needed.

• Property Protection:

  • Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas and ensure all doors, windows, and gates are securely locked after hours.

• Maintenance Checks:

  • Conduct routine checks for maintenance issues (e.g., lights, locks, or plumbing) during patrols.

  • Report minor repairs or maintenance needs to the relevant department or team.

Skills & Requirements:

• Previous experience in security and basic electrical maintenance.

• Ability to respond effectively during emergencies.

• Good understanding of safety and security protocols.

• Strong attention to detail and proactive approach.

• Good communication skills to maintain records and reports.

• Physical fitness to patrol the premises regularly.
