Hyde Johannesburg Rosebank, part of the luxury Rixos hotel chain, is seeking a Waiter/Waitress to deliver exceptional food and beverage service. The role involves ensuring guest satisfaction, maintaining restaurant standards, and supporting F&B operations in a professional and courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read daily events and acknowledge VIP arrivals.

• Know all menu items, garnishes, and preparation methods to answer guest questions.

• Present children’s menus and describe specials or alternative cuisine.

• Serve and clear food and beverages professionally and unobtrusively.

• Use POS system for orders, check processing, and cash-out procedures.

• Carry trays, bus and reset tables with linen, china, glass, and silver.

• Monitor guest satisfaction and report any issues to the manager.

• Follow cash and credit card procedures according to accounting guidelines.

• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene of the restaurant and workstations.

• Polish silverware, refill condiments, and ensure workstations are well-stocked.

• Maintain knowledge of all F&B services, outlets, and hotel features.

• Assist other F&B outlets during peak hours as required.

• Perform opening/closing side duties and adhere to hotel standards.

Skills & Requirements:

• Secondary education.

• Minimum 1 year of food and beverage serving experience.

• Experience in public contact and/or cashiering.

• Professional communication and guest service skills.

• Additional language skills (e.g., Russian) are an advantage.
