Fairmont The Palm, a luxurious resort on the iconic Palm Jumeirah, is seeking an enthusiastic Waiter/Waitress to join its Food & Beverage team. This role involves delivering exceptional guest service, managing orders efficiently, and ensuring a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests and present menus in a courteous and professional manner.

• Inform guests of daily specials and menu changes.

• Take food and beverage orders accurately and upsell where possible.

• Input orders into the POS system, noting special requests (e.g., no garlic, less spicy).

• Serve food and beverages promptly, maintain table settings, and refill drinks as needed.

• Perform basic cleaning tasks and assist in other F&B areas as required.

• Handle payments, issue receipts, and return change accurately.

• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any concerns promptly.

• Encourage guest feedback and promote sharing on platforms like TripAdvisor.

• Open and serve wine tableside in accordance with service standards.

• Assist with other restaurant duties including answering phones and financial transactions.

• Complete daily closing tasks including cash drops and credit card settlement checks.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).

• Trustworthy with high attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proactive, energetic, and customer-focused with a “can-do” attitude.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Knowledge of outlet menu items and basic cooking familiarity.

• Proficient in Micros POS system.
