The Middle Eastern is seeking passionate Volunteer Journalist Interns to create short video explainers that break down complex news stories. This remote, part-time internship is perfect for aspiring journalists looking to develop on-camera storytelling and research skills while contributing to an innovative, youth-led media platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research global and Middle East news to develop explainer stories

• Write concise and engaging scripts for video content (5–8 minutes)

• Record and deliver on-camera explainers

• Participate in weekly writing and on-camera workshops

• Collaborate with editors and fellow interns on content creation

• Stay updated on current events and global developments

Skills Required:

• Excellent writing and storytelling abilities

• Research proficiency and ability to explain complex topics clearly

• Eagerness to learn video journalism (experience not required)

• Interest in Middle Eastern geopolitics and global news

• Effective communication and teamwork in a remote environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field (or similar passion and drive)

• Fluent in English (Arabic or Persian is a plus)

• Self-starter with motivation to grow in journalism

• Must have access to a device with video recording capabilities
