Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Vessel Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the daily operations of bulk carriers. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong commercial awareness, maritime expertise, and the ability to manage vessel performance efficiently while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate day-to-day vessel operations, ensuring seamless execution.

• Monitor and optimize voyage performance, reducing operational inefficiencies.

• Ensure full compliance with maritime regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.

• Liaise with charterers, agents, vessel masters, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth shipping operations.

• Handle post-fixture operations, including laytime calculations and claims management.

• Address and resolve operational challenges in a timely and effective manner.

• Maintain accurate records and generate detailed reports on vessel performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in vessel operations within the shipping/marine transport industry.

• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills for smooth collaboration.

• In-depth knowledge of maritime regulations and dry bulk sector standards.

• Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• High proficiency in IT systems and operational software related to vessel management.
