Coinbase is seeking an experienced UAE Policy Manager to join its Policy team in Dubai. This role focuses on leading government engagement, policy research, and advocacy efforts to support Coinbase’s mission of expanding economic freedom through crypto and blockchain technology. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in public policy, financial services, or regulatory engagement, with strong communication skills and the ability to navigate complex policy landscapes in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct policy and legislative research to support strategic advocacy goals.

• Identify and recommend proactive strategies on key policy issues impacting Coinbase.

• Support regulatory submissions, whitepapers, and thought leadership initiatives.

• Serve as a key interface with UAE government agencies and regulators.

• Develop position papers, advocacy documents, and ensure consistent policy messaging.

• Monitor and analyze policy trends, providing concise updates to internal stakeholders.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product and engineering, on policy considerations.

• Strategically support Coinbase’s international expansion through policy alignment.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in public policy, government relations, or regulatory affairs.

• Strong knowledge of financial services and emerging technologies.

• Proven experience engaging with lawmakers and regulators, ideally in the UAE or broader MENA region.

• Ability to advise technical teams on policy and compliance considerations.

• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence (EQ).

• Demonstrated passion for digital assets, crypto markets, and blockchain technology.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

• Preferred: Experience with legislatures or financial regulators.
