J10 Consulting is seeking an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator to join a renowned consultancy in Dubai, UAE. This role involves overseeing temporary works coordination on high-profile high-rise and mall projects across the Emirates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in temporary works management within the UAE and GCC region, with experience in PMC or consultancy environments.

This position is available for immediate joining on a 3-6 month contract, outsourced through J10 Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

Temporary Works Coordination & Planning:

• Assist in the development, review, and approval of temporary works plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Ensure temporary works designs meet project and safety requirements.
• Maintain a temporary works register and track progress.
• Plan and schedule temporary works activities in line with the overall project program.

Safety, Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are in place for safe erection and dismantling.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, stopping work if safety is compromised.
• Verify that temporary works designs are structurally adequate and conform to project specifications.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure that temporary works adhere to legal and management system requirements.

Collaboration & Supervision:

• Liaise with designers, contractors, and site teams to ensure proper execution of temporary works.
• Ensure relevant stakeholders receive and understand design requirements and construction limitations.
• Oversee on-site supervision and inspections at critical stages of temporary works construction.
• Provide technical guidance and approvals for temporary works erection, loading, and dismantling.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain records of design calculations, drawings, and approval documents.
• Issue permits to load and dismantle temporary structures once permanent works reach required strength.
• Deliver lessons learned reports and project feedback for continuous improvement.
• Keep site management informed of all temporary works-related activities.

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in temporary works coordination within large-scale high-rise or mall projects.
• Certification in Temporary Works Coordination (ECITB or CITB accredited) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HSEQ legal and management system requirements.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proven expertise in temporary works planning, supervision, and compliance.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in English (written & verbal).
