Role Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Design Manager to lead our technical design team for interior fit-out projects. You will oversee the entire technical design process, ensuring adherence to quality standards, client satisfaction, and seamless collaboration across project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Design Leadership:

• Lead and manage a team of technical designers with guidance and expertise.

• Collaborate with project management to define project requirements, objectives, and timelines.

• Oversee design concept development and implementation, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

• Provide technical support to resolve design challenges during the project lifecycle.

Design Coordination:

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders for integrated design solutions.

• Review architectural drawings and technical documents to detect conflicts or discrepancies.

• Work with suppliers and vendors to select materials, finishes, and fittings.

• Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.

Quality Control and Assurance:

• Conduct reviews and inspections of design deliverables for accuracy and compliance.

• Implement quality control measures to minimize errors.

• Monitor design progress and update project management regularly.

• Identify and implement process improvements.

Team Management and Development:

• Recruit, train, and mentor technical design staff.

• Set performance goals and provide feedback.

• Promote continuous learning and innovation within the team.

Requirements

• UAE resident with a valid UAE driving license (mandatory).

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field (Master’s preferred).

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical design management for interior fit-out projects, preferably in Dubai or UAE.

• Strong knowledge of fit-out design principles, materials, and construction methods.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, 3D modeling, and rendering software.

• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.

• Familiarity with sustainability and green building certifications is a plus.
