People Partners is hiring a seasoned Technical Advisor to lead technical advisory services for utility-scale Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This full-time, remote position is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in renewable energy projects, especially those with a strong background in lender-grade due diligence and grid integration.

This role involves conducting technical due diligence for financing and M&A transactions, assessing grid compliance, reviewing EPC designs, and providing expert insights into energy storage optimization. Candidates must have a track record of leading large-scale solar projects and delivering strategic technical reviews that support investment and project execution decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead independent engineering reviews and technical due diligence for project financing and M&A activities.

• Provide bankability assessments and risk analyses for utility-scale solar and BESS projects.

• Conduct grid-code compliance studies (33kV–400kV interconnection) for energy projects.

• Optimize energy storage systems and assess BESS integration strategies.

• Review and evaluate EPC contractor designs and proposals.

• Conduct technical analysis of PPAs, performance guarantees, and operational metrics.

• Provide consulting and strategic input across multiple renewable energy markets, with a focus on the MENA region.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in utility-scale solar energy projects.

• Proven track record managing and advising on projects totaling 500MW+ capacity.

• Background in lender technical advisory and conducting due diligence.

• Strong knowledge of Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) technical components and review.

• Expertise in grid integration and interconnection (33kV to 400kV systems).

• Experience in MENA markets is preferred.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and technical reporting skills.
