Job Title: Technical Advisor

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Advisor to handle vehicle inspection, diagnosis, and repair using advanced diagnostic tools. The role involves ensuring compliance with OEM and Al-Futtaim standards, delivering revenue targets, and guiding apprentices and new joiners. This position also involves managing the entire customer journey, from service booking to vehicle handover and invoicing.

📊 Reports To: Aftersales Manager

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Vehicle Inspection, Diagnosis & Repair

• Perform diagnosis, general repairs, and periodic maintenance with a focus on Advanced General Repair (AGR) and accessories fitment.
• Utilize Fix It Right techniques to enhance customer retention.
• Ensure the proper use of special service tools and general tools inventory.

🔹 Customer Management & Service Delivery

• Oversee the entire customer journey, from receiving the service booking call to car handover and invoicing.
• Deliver vehicles on time as per the promised schedule or customer demands.
• Handle customer queries and provide technical explanations when required.

🔹 Warranty & Documentation

• Create electronic warranty approval requests in the Dealer Management System (SAP).
• Write technical reports on AGR cases after performing diagnostics.
• Ensure compliance with OEM and distributor standards while maintaining quality control.

🔹 Technical Expertise & Training

• Stay updated on automotive manufacturing advancements and technical developments.
• Read and interpret safety rules, repair manuals, operating instructions, and wiring diagrams.
• Work closely with the Aftersales Manager and participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Required Skills & Competencies:

✔ Technical Expertise:

• Strong knowledge of automotive diagnosis, repair, and maintenance.
• Experience in handling service and maintenance tasks in a workshop.

✔ Customer Relationship Management:

• Ability to interact with customers professionally during the service process.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

✔ Operational & Quality Control:

• Familiarity with OEM and distributor standards.
• Understanding of quality control inspection systems to prevent faulty workmanship.

✔ Technology & System Knowledge:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Dealer Management Systems (SAP).
• Basic knowledge of Electric Vehicles (EVs).

Preferred Candidate Profile:

🎓 Education:

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• IMI LV Master Technician (L3-4) certification or equivalent.
• High-level brand certification (e.g., Diagnostic Master, Gold, L3, etc.).

💼 Experience:

• 4-6 years of experience as a Light Vehicle Technician.
• At least 2 years as a Diagnostic Technician.
• Some experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive dealership.

🚗 Other Requirements:

• Valid UAE Driver’s License.
