🔍 Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated System Administrator to join our IT operations team. This role is critical in ensuring the health, availability, and performance of our infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments. You will be responsible for server and desktop administration, virtualization, cloud support, automation, and network operations.

✅ Key Responsibilities

IT Operations & Maintenance

• Monitor infrastructure: servers, VMs, containers, and services.

• Handle incidents and service requests via helpdesk systems.

• Perform patching and updates on Windows and Linux systems.

• Ensure backup integrity and execute restoration tasks.

• Maintain documentation for standard procedures and issue resolution.

Server & Desktop Administration

• Manage Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) and Windows Server/Desktop environments.

• Administer AD, GPOs, user accounts, and endpoint security.

• Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and software-related issues.

• Maintain file servers and networked storage environments.

Virtualization & Containers

• Maintain VMware vSphere (vCenter, ESXi).

• Support Red Hat OpenShift or containerized applications.

• Manage VM lifecycle: provisioning, templates, snapshots, and performance tuning.

Cloud Support

• Provide support across Azure, GCP, and AWS platforms.

• Assist in provisioning and maintaining cloud-based services and resources.

• Support hybrid cloud initiatives and cloud migrations.

Automation & Monitoring

• Write scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to automate admin tasks.

• Monitor using Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, or cloud-native tools.

• Create alerts and proactive issue response mechanisms.

Network & Security Operations

• Assist with firewall, VPN, VLAN, DNS, and DHCP configurations.

• Participate in vulnerability management and patch cycles.

• Support implementation of endpoint protection and audit readiness.

📋 Requirements

✅ Must-Have Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a System Administrator or IT Operations role.

• Proficiency in Linux and Windows environments.

• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere and one or more cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS).

• Understanding of core networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, VLANs).

• Scripting skills: PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

✅ Nice-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes.

• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).

• Exposure to backup solutions like Veeam or Commvault.

• Relevant certifications (VCP, RHCSA, Azure Admin Associate, etc.).
