Role Overview

We are seeking a SWIFT Message Conversion Specialist with strong expertise in SWIFT MT to MX conversion within the payments domain. The role requires hands-on experience in financial messaging standards, transformation tools, and integration platforms to ensure seamless and accurate message conversion.

Key Responsibilities

Message Conversion & Development:

• Lead the conversion of SWIFT MT messages to MX formats in the payments domain.

• Analyze, interpret, and map MT message structures to MX equivalents.

• Design and implement transformation strategies for message accuracy and compliance.

• Develop scripts and configurations for XML, XSLT, Java-based message conversion.

Integration & Compliance:

• Collaborate with IT, operations, and compliance teams for seamless message integration.

• Ensure adherence to ISO 20022 standards and SWIFT compliance guidelines.

• Conduct extensive testing and validation of converted messages.

Technical Support & Optimization:

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to message transformation.

• Stay updated with SWIFT regulatory changes and industry best practices.

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for conversion processes.

Skills & Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Finance, or related field.

• Proven experience in SWIFT MT to MX message conversion within the payments domain.

• Strong understanding of financial messaging protocols (e.g., ISO 20022).

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in SWIFT MT and MX message structures (MT103, MT202, MX pain.001, pacs.008).

• Proficiency in XML, XSLT, Java, and DITA/XML.

• Hands-on experience with message mapping tools (e.g., Altova MapForce, IBM Integration Bus).

• Familiarity with middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, TIBCO).

• Experience with API integrations (REST, SOAP) and secure financial messaging.

• Knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with payment systems and financial messaging platforms.

• Understanding of regulatory compliance in the payments industry.

• Certification in SWIFT messaging standards or related areas.
