Talabat, the leading online food and grocery delivery platform in MENA, is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a cross-functional engineering team in delivering scalable and high-quality software solutions. The role involves strategic leadership, technical mentorship, and driving engineering excellence in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a cross-functional engineering team to deliver end-to-end software solutions.

• Work with product, design, and data teams to drive customer-centric innovation.

• Develop and mentor engineering talent to foster a culture of continuous learning.

• Guide teams in implementing best engineering practices including TDD, Pair Programming, and Continuous Refactoring.

• Oversee microservices architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-based solutions (AWS preferred).

• Maintain high availability, scalability, and performance of Talabat’s services.

• Drive technical strategy, continuous delivery, and DevOps automation.

• Manage stakeholder communication and cross-team collaboration effectively.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with expertise in Extreme Programming (XP) and Agile methodologies.

• 4+ years of leadership experience, managing cross-functional engineering teams.

• Strong expertise in Distributed Systems Architecture (Microservices, Event-Driven, RESTful Services).

• Experience with Trunk-Based Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.

• Deep knowledge of mobile and web application development lifecycles.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).

• Strong background in automated testing, monitoring, security, and DevOps practices.

• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Growth mindset with a passion for mentorship, innovation, and technical excellence.
