Weatherford is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to manage the procurement of machining and machine parts, ensuring efficient supplier relationships, cost optimization, and adherence to category sourcing strategies. This role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and contract management skills to develop supplier agreements and streamline procurement processes within the Oil & Gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Sourcing & Procurement: Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with company goals.
✔ Supplier Management: Build strategic partnerships with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
✔ Cost & Spend Analysis: Assess procurement trends, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities.
✔ Contract & Agreement Negotiation: Ensure compliance with company contracting policies and maintain accurate supplier records.
✔ Performance Tracking: Monitor contract execution, supplier risk assessments, and cost control measures.
✔ Technical Expertise: Understand machining & machine parts requirements and quality standards for procurement.
✔ ERP Utilization: Work with ERP systems (JD Edwards, Oracle) to optimize procurement processes.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

✅ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Manufacturing (or equivalent experience).
✅ Experience: 5-7 years in sourcing/procurement of machining and machine parts.
✅ Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Oil & Gas industry procurement standards.
✅ ERP Proficiency: Experience with JD Edwards, Oracle, or similar platforms.
✅ Analytical & Negotiation Skills: Ability to assess supplier capabilities, negotiate contracts, and drive cost savings.
✅ Advanced Excel & Data Analysis: Strong ability to analyze procurement data and generate reports.
✅ Contract Management: Understanding of fundamental contracting principles and ability to create supplier agreements.
✅ Customer Service & Communication: Excellent oral & written communication with the ability to present sourcing strategies.

Preferred Certifications:

🎯 Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) is a plus.
