Twine is seeking a talented songwriter to compose an original track inspired by British 1960s ballroom and popular music. The song will be featured in a short drama film about a man with Parkinson’s disease reminiscing on his performing days in the 1960s. The composition must authentically capture the period’s sound, instrumentation, and lyrical style. This is a remote contract role with a two-month delivery timeline, offering non-exclusive rights to the final song.

Responsibilities:

  • Compose an original song evoking the 1960s British ballroom and popular music style

  • Create authentic melodies, arrangements, and lyrics reflective of the era

  • Collaborate on creative direction and incorporate feedback as needed

  • Use music composition software or coordinate with live musicians for production

  • Deliver the completed composition within two months

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience writing songs in vintage or period-specific styles

  • Strong knowledge of 1960s British ballroom and popular music influences

  • Proficiency with music composition tools or ability to work with live musicians
