Job Summary:
VML is seeking a Social Media Specialist based in Dubai to join their Regional Social Command Center (RSCC). This full-time hybrid role focuses on managing social media content and community engagement within Microsoft’s marketing ecosystem. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in social media strategy, content creation, community engagement, and social analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Community Engagement:

Schedule and tag content in Sprinklr across RSCC-managed social media channels.
-
Ensure all content complies with Microsoft’s social standards including accessibility and security.
-
Respond to comments and private messages in a timely and brand-consistent manner.
-
Create or localize social media copies and visuals aligned with Microsoft’s strategy.
-
Monitor sentiment and escalate issues to appropriate teams during crisis management.
-
Co-develop content with Content Specialists and suggest local trends-based content.
Operational & Stakeholder Coordination:

Act as the primary point of contact for local stakeholders including PR/Comms teams and field marketing.

Manage ad-hoc social media service requests, coordinate briefings with RSCC teams.

Represent platform knowledge and advise on social tools and features.

Provide insights and data in collaboration with Listening & Performance teams.
Localization & Advocacy:
-
Review and adapt content for the local market and languages.
-
Share newsletters and internal Microsoft marketing materials as needed.
Event Social Media Support:

Build and execute social coverage plans for local events (pre, during, post).

Generate localized social media posts and provide on-ground support.
-
Support UGC tracking and post-event performance reporting.
Additional Support:
-
Assist with publishing articles on Microsoft Pulse.

Provide content URLs to Paid Social Coordinators for ad boosting.

Share best practices across the global marketing community.
Required Skills & Competencies:
-
2+ years of experience in social media, with at least 1 year in content/community engagement.

Strong understanding of platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X (Twitter), and blogs.

Experience using Sprinklr or similar social media management tools.
-
High compliance awareness (data protection, brand guidelines).

Excellent project management and multitasking skills.

Strong communication skills, especially in conveying complex information clearly.

Ability to work with internal/external stakeholders across diverse cultures.

Fluency in English and Arabic is essential.
