Rhodium Consulting Peninsula is seeking a Smart City Platform Technical Architect to lead the design and development of a cutting-edge smart city digital platform. This role is for a visionary architect with expertise in solution architecture, data platforms, and smart city technologies like AI, digital twins, and IoT. The position is a 1-year contract with the possibility of renewal, based fully on-site in Qatar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Platform Architecture Management: Design and manage the technical architecture of the smart city platform to ensure scalability, security, and stability.

• Architecture Delivery: Oversee development and implementation of modular architecture to support the onboarding of smart city solutions and evaluate emerging technologies.

• Smart City Product Enablement: Collaborate with product managers to align platform architecture with the deployment of core smart city solutions like Digital Twins, Smart City OS, Connected Assets, and AI-powered services.

• Governance and Stakeholder Engagement: Ensure alignment of architectural decisions with strategic objectives and best practices, and guide product managers and stakeholders.

• Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to international standards, regulatory requirements, and data security protocols.

• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous architectural improvements based on emerging trends and operational feedback.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

• Experience: 8–10 years of experience in solution architecture, particularly in smart city projects or large-scale digital platforms.

• Skills:

  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Strong understanding of IoT, AI, data analytics, and cybersecurity.

  • Expertise in microservices architecture and API design.

  • Experience with large-scale digital platform design, ideally in smart city or IoT contexts.

  • Familiarity with smart city concepts and data-centric platforms.

• Certifications: TOGAF, Azure Architect, CISSP certifications are a plus.

Location: On-site in Qatar (Contract, 1 Year with possibility of renewal)
