AKQA, a global leader in digital experiences, is looking for a Senior UI Designer to join their Dubai team. The role focuses on creating innovative and user-centric digital designs, working closely with creative teams to deliver seamless user interfaces across large-scale projects. As a Senior UI Designer, you will be responsible for translating concepts into wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, collaborating with agile teams, and ensuring high-quality design execution. Your work will contribute to improving user experiences on web platforms, with a focus on responsive web design and commerce solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design intuitive user interfaces for large-scale websites and commerce solutions

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (creative, development, copywriting) to deliver seamless experiences

• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively

• Ensure designs align with user experience best practices and business goals

• Conduct industry research to address UI challenges and improve design practices

• Provide final design hand-offs to developers and ensure design implementation accuracy

• Proactively suggest solutions to enhance user experience and eliminate friction points

• Conduct usability testing and ensure accessibility concerns are addressed

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Portfolio demonstrating experience in designing complex systems across multiple touchpoints

• Strong understanding of responsive web design and web development technologies

• Proficiency in Figma, with basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (optional)

• Experience in Sitecore is a plus

• Deep knowledge of UI/UX best practices, including persona creation, journey mapping, and usability testing

• Ability to work effectively in agile teams, collaborating closely with other creatives and developers

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
