AtkinsRéalis, a global engineering and project management firm, is hiring a Senior Transport Modeller (STEAM) for its Abu Dhabi office. This hybrid, full-time role is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals with 12–15 years of background in traffic modelling and transport planning, especially with hands-on experience in the ITC STEAM model.

As a key member of the transport planning team, the candidate will lead modelling activities, conduct impact assessments, and support large-scale master plan projects across the UAE. The position plays a vital role in shaping future citywide mobility and access plans in accordance with Abu Dhabi’s ITC Guidelines.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Lead STEAM-based transport modelling tasks for multidisciplinary public and private projects.

• Conduct transport and traffic planning studies including transport master plans and traffic impact assessments.

• Prepare comprehensive Modelling Reports aligned with ITC requirements.

• Apply knowledge of travel demand theory, traffic engineering, and urban mobility planning.

• Coordinate with local authorities and understand Abu Dhabi and UAE transport guidelines.

• Assist with financial/project management responsibilities as needed.

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and support business development efforts for transport planning services.

✅ Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent (Master’s preferred in Transport Planning).

• 12–15 years of professional experience in transport modelling and planning.

• Proven experience using STEAM transport modelling software; must be ITC-approved STEAM Modeller.

• Knowledge of ITC Guidelines and planning standards in Abu Dhabi.

• Familiarity with traffic engineering software such as SYNCHRO, SIDRA, HCS.

• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Strong English communication (spoken and written).

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and contribute to team success.
