Our Tier-One Main Contracting Client is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Manager to join their Dubai-based team for new build projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in technical management for major construction projects in the UAE or wider GCC, working with recognized main contractors.

This role is available for immediate joining on a 3–6 month contract via J10 Consulting, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent staff position based on performance and mutual agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Technical Oversight:

• Lead and manage the technical aspects of construction projects from design to completion, ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.
• Oversee design coordination between consultants, design teams, and project stakeholders to align with technical and project requirements.
• Monitor and enforce quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and project standards.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges during the project lifecycle, providing strategic solutions.
• Ensure full compliance with UAE regulations, building codes, and health & safety standards.

Collaboration & Documentation:

• Work closely with the Project Manager, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain technical efficiency and seamless communication.
• Prepare, review, and submit technical documentation, including approvals, drawings, and site assessments.
• Manage and oversee drawings, BOQ, subcontractor agreements, and scope of work.
• Review and approve material requests, subcontractor certificates, and deployment plans.

Leadership & Innovation:

• Develop and implement robust technical standards, systems, and processes to enhance project efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate technical teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Provide expert input in technology strategies and influence key technical decisions.
• Conduct regular product testing to improve performance and address potential faults.
• Act as a primary technical contact for stakeholders, resolving concerns and driving continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 12–15 years of experience in technical management within construction.
• Strong experience working with a recognized main contractor.
• Proficiency in Revit & BIM software is preferred.
• Extensive site-based experience overseeing technical execution.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
