Job Title: Senior System Engineer

Job Description:

We are hiring a Senior System Engineer for a leading IT System Integrator based in Dubai, UAE. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in networking, system integration, and technical support to play a pivotal role in designing and maintaining cutting-edge IT infrastructures.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work across diverse technologies including VoIP, firewalls, switching systems, and system monitoring tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Support: Provide high-level troubleshooting and technical assistance across integrated systems (hardware, software, and networking).

• System Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure peak system performance and reliability.

• Client Engagement: Collaborate directly with clients to diagnose and resolve technical challenges, ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, issue logs, and resolutions, along with detailed customer interaction histories.

• Installation & Configuration: Set up and configure new IT systems, software, and hardware as per project requirements.

• Training & Handover: Train clients or internal teams on system usage, best practices, and security compliance.

• System Integration: Ensure seamless interaction between various system components within integration projects.

• Quality Assurance: Verify systems meet both technical specifications and business requirements.

• Project Management Support: Assist in project planning, resource allocation, and coordination to meet delivery goals.

Skills & Expertise Required:

• In-depth knowledge of IT systems, networks, and enterprise software applications.

• Strong design, integration, and troubleshooting skills.

• Effective communication and collaboration in cross-functional teams.

• Excellent problem-solving, time management, and organizational abilities.

• Proven experience with VoIP systems – familiarity with at least two PABX platforms (e.g., NEC, CISCO, AVAYA, 3CX, Yeastar, Grandstream).

• Hands-on experience with network devices and security appliances from brands like Fortinet, Sophos, SonicWall, Cisco, HP, Aruba, DrayTek, TP-Link, Ruijie, and EnGenius.

• Added advantage: Knowledge of CCTV, access control, PA/speaker systems, video walls, media players, and video conferencing technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Computer Science, Networking, or Information Security.

• Preferred Certifications:

  • CompTIA Network+

  • Fortinet Certified Professional (Network Security)

  • CCNP

  • PMP or ITIL (preferred)

  • WCNA, Microsoft certifications (preferred)

• Experience with system monitoring tools (NMS) is essential.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in system engineering and IT infrastructure.

• Residency in the UAE is required.

• Preferred age: 27 years.

• Willingness to undergo a three-step selection process (initial interview, technical/practical assessment, final interview).
