Our multinational Architecture & Engineering Consultancy is seeking an experienced Lead Site Architect to join their team in Dubai. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive site supervision experience within a recognized architectural and design consultancy.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination:

• Collaborate with Structural and MEP teams to ensure architectural integration.
• Liaise with the head office for timely issuance of project information.
• Monitor contractor work to ensure compliance with HSE, QA/QC, and project standards.
• Oversee coordination between contractors and subcontractors for sequencing and accuracy.
• Manage the selection and approval of architectural materials with clients and consultants.
• Supervise critical architectural elements, including pre-cast cladding, glazing, flooring, and sanitary ware.
• Facilitate the erection and review of mock-ups to ensure design intent and quality standards.
• Ensure proper placement and selection of MEP final fix items to align with architectural vision.
• Coordinate with sub-consultants, including interior designers, external works specialists, and acoustics consultants.
• Schedule and oversee site inspections, including material checks and shop drawing verifications.
• Review the setting out of key architectural elements, including external cladding, ceilings, and tiling.
• Witness performance tests such as water and curtain wall tests.
• Conduct snagging and de-snagging inspections, ensuring project completion aligns with quality benchmarks.

Compliance & Reporting:

• Ensure contractor adherence to approved QA/QC procedures.
• Monitor project progress against agreed timelines and attend progress meetings.
• Participate in HSE and QA/QC meetings, raising quality and safety concerns.
• Review and approve architectural shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Evaluate contractor interim valuations and issue site observation notes, NCRs, and RFIs as needed.
• Verify as-built drawings and O&M manuals for project handover.

Requirements:

• 8-10 years of experience as a Site Architect.
• Strong proficiency in Revit and other architectural software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
• Proven experience in a leading design and engineering consultancy.
• Extensive site-based experience on large-scale villa developments and horizontal projects in the UAE.
• Strong background in project closeout and handover processes.
