Genesis Healthcare is seeking a Senior Regional Social Worker to oversee social work practice initiatives in long-term care facilities across a defined geography. The role includes supporting the education and outcomes of social workers, ensuring compliance with care standards, and fostering a climate that enhances patient well-being and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Social Work Oversight: Support, evaluate, and ensure consistent social work practice across facilities, in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Team Leadership: Supervise and guide nursing center social workers, ensuring effective delivery of social services aligned with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics.

• Care Planning & Evaluation: Plan, develop, and direct the operation of social work services to enhance residents’ well-being, independence, and dignity.

• Compliance & Best Practices: Maintain adherence to Genesis policies and regulations, ensuring high-quality standards for social services.

Required Skills to Be Successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited school.

• Knowledge of social work standards in long-term care, aging services, and patient care.

• Competence in assessment, intervention, and addressing the needs of patients, families, and caregivers.

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Technologically proficient in required tools (e.g., PCC).

• Ability to work cooperatively in team environments.

Qualifications:

• Certification/licensure as required by state law to practice social work in long-term care.

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Salary Range:
USD $75,000 – $85,000 per year.
