Senior Quality Officer – Quality Data & Performance Improvement

Job Purpose:

The Senior Quality Officer will be responsible for implementing quality management and performance improvement processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, patient safety, and operational efficiency across the hospital. The role requires data analysis expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to quality and safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and implement quality improvement programs across departments.
  • Monitor hospital-wide performance measures and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop tools and resources to support quality initiatives.
  • Assist in regulatory compliance and accreditation processes.
  • Analyze and interpret quality data, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights.
  • Manage and report patient safety incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSHAD) requirements.
  • Deliver training sessions on safety and quality standards for hospital staff.
  • Assist in developing and implementing emergency preparedness plans.
  • Maintain quality documentation, reports, and action plans.
  • Facilitate committees and task forces focused on hospital quality and safety.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in a healthcare quality management role.
  • Strong understanding of hospital performance improvement, quality assurance, and patient safety.
  • Experience with accreditation processes and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in large healthcare facilities.
  • Familiarity with international healthcare quality standards (e.g., JCI, ISO, OSHAD).
