Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior QA/QC & Material Engineer to oversee quality assurance, material compliance, and inspection processes for infrastructure projects. The role includes site monitoring, material testing, non-conformance management, and collaboration with project stakeholders to ensure the highest quality standards.

📅 Experience Required: 12+ years in quality management & material testing (8+ years in infrastructure projects)
🎓 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Conduct daily site inspections to monitor materials, execution quality, and compliance with specifications.

  • Ensure adherence to the Project Quality Plan and industry standards.

  • Issue and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and coordinate corrective actions.

  • Assist in reviewing Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and material submittals.

🛠 Material & Testing Oversight

  • Inspect and approve construction materials for compliance with project specifications.

  • Oversee laboratory testing and analysis of construction materials.

  • Track and maintain records of material quality reports and test results.

📋 Project Monitoring & Reporting

  • Maintain a comprehensive deal tracking system for material inspections and approvals.

  • Prepare weekly reports on QA/QC performance, trends, and non-conformances.

  • Participate in testing, commissioning, and project handover processes.

🔄 Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with Contractors, Project Managers, and the Client to resolve site issues.

  • Attend technical meetings and present QA/QC progress and challenges.

  • Support Resident Engineers (RE) and Assistant Resident Engineers (ARE) in contract compliance.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Experience & Knowledge:

  • 12+ years of experience in quality assurance, material testing, and infrastructure projects.

  • Expertise in roads, sewerage, water, irrigation, stormwater, and landscape materials.

  • Strong understanding of construction codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Technical & Soft Skills:

  • Proficient in QA/QC documentation, NCR handling, and process improvement.

  • Ability to manage material inspections, testing procedures, and compliance tracking.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder coordination skills.
