Job Title: Senior Planning Engineer 

Job Description

Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-driven Senior Planning Engineer to lead the scheduling and progress control activities for major high-rise building projects. The ideal candidate will bring over 15 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, with a strong background in planning, monitoring, and reporting across large-scale developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage contract-based project schedules, ensuring alignment with critical paths and breakdown structures.

• Implement and enforce standardized scheduling practices across the project lifecycle.

• Coordinate with Project Managers (PM), Project Controls Managers (PCM), subcontractors, and suppliers to gather updates for schedule revisions.

• Oversee manpower and equipment planning (histograms) to align with project milestones.

• Monitor baseline project progress and issue reports detailing deviations and required corrective actions.

• Manage and update materials tracking schedules to ensure on-time procurement, delivery, and installation while minimizing on-site storage.

• Create and maintain regular project backups and documentation for audit and reference.

• Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.

• Advise project teams on delays and coordinate recovery strategies to realign with the timeline.

• Support financial planning by contributing to project budget reports and cash flow forecasts.

• Represent the company in client and consultant meetings, providing scheduling insights and updates.

• Maintain comprehensive digital archives of all schedules and reports.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering.

• Minimum 15 years of experience with reputable building contracting firms.

• Proven expertise in high-rise building projects is essential.

• Strong command of project scheduling tools and software.

• Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting abilities.
