Senior Piping Engineer

McDermott International is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to join their team in Dubai. The role involves performing conceptual, FEED, and detailed design analysis, managing engineering tasks, and ensuring compliance with project requirements, standards, and safety policies. The candidate will play a key role in project execution, interfacing with various teams, and contributing to innovative engineering solutions in the oil & gas sector.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Design & Analysis: Conduct piping design analysis, prepare detailed calculations, and develop engineering solutions.
🔹 Project Execution: Work on Pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed design phases for major oil & gas projects.
🔹 Team Collaboration: Interface with engineers, designers, and construction teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
🔹 Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs meet ANSI, ASME, API, NFPA, and BS standards.
🔹 3D Modeling & Reviews: Utilize SP3D / E3D / Navisworks to support 3D model reviews at 30%, 60%, and 90% project stages.
🔹 Technical Leadership: Guide junior engineers and contribute to best practices within the piping discipline.
🔹 Scope & Change Management: Identify scope changes and ensure proper documentation and execution.

Eligibility Criteria:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
8-15 years in oil & gas industry with a major contractor or consultant.
✔ Strong understanding of piping design, stress analysis, pipe support, and material engineering.
✔ Experience with stick-built and modularization project approaches.
Skills & Knowledge:
Expert in project coordination & execution.
✔ Proficiency in SP3D, E3D, Navisworks.
✔ Knowledge of international codes and standards (ANSI, ASME, API, BS, NFPA, etc.).
✔ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred:
Registered Professional Engineer or member of an engineering society.
Flexible for business travel.
