We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager – Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) to drive the strategic vision, governance, and operational excellence of HSE across our growing retail and warehousing operations. The ideal candidate will play a key advisory role to the executive leadership team and lead HSE initiatives to ensure full compliance, sustainable practices, and a culture of proactive safety across all levels of the business.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

🧭 Strategic Leadership:

• Define and implement long-term HSE strategy aligned with corporate business goals.

• Promote a culture of safety, risk prevention, and environmental responsibility.

📄 Policy & System Development:

• Design, implement, and standardize HSE policies and procedures across all business units.

• Ensure integration and certification compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and related standards.

🛡 Compliance & Risk Management:

• Monitor and ensure adherence to UAE local, federal, and international health and environmental laws.

• Lead HSE risk assessments, control measures, and hazard mitigation strategies.

🛠 Incident Reporting & Investigation:

• Oversee root cause analysis for all major safety incidents and near misses.

• Establish tracking and reporting mechanisms for key HSE KPIs and regulatory documentation.

👥 Team Management & Development:

• Lead and mentor a team of HSE professionals across multiple facilities.

• Conduct training, certification, and internal audits to build HSE capabilities.

🤝 Stakeholder Engagement:

• Act as the primary point of contact for government, regulatory, and third-party HSE stakeholders.

• Collaborate with Operations, HR, Facilities, and Engineering teams to embed HSE processes.

📊 Audit & Performance Monitoring:

• Oversee internal audits, third-party assessments, and performance benchmarking.

• Develop dashboards and real-time reporting to track safety metrics and corrective actions.

🚨 Emergency Preparedness:

• Build and regularly update crisis management plans and fire safety/emergency protocols.

• Conduct mock drills, readiness assessments, and emergency response training.

🌱 Sustainability & ESG Alignment:

• Lead initiatives to reduce carbon footprint, improve energy/resource efficiency, and manage waste.

• Support broader corporate ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) targets and disclosures.

💰 Budget & Resource Planning:

• Forecast and manage annual HSE budgets, allocating resources to priority programs and compliance projects.

✅ Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 15–20 years of relevant HSE experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role

• Proven track record in warehouse, distribution center, or retail environments

• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or ISO Lead Auditor are highly preferred

• Strong knowledge of UAE regulatory frameworks and global HSE best practices

• Exceptional leadership, crisis management, and stakeholder communication skills

• Ability to handle audits, inspections, and compliance investigations with confidence and precision
