Job Title: Senior Land Surveyor – Infrastructure & Roads Projects

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Land Surveyor to join a leading engineering consulting firm in Al Ain. This role involves surveying, setting out, and verifying construction works for infrastructure and road projects. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in topographic surveys, land mapping, and construction layouts, working closely with project teams to maintain quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

📍 Surveying & Site Operations

• Conduct topographic and land surveys to support infrastructure projects.

• Verify and set out design levels, profiles, and horizontal alignments.

• Supervise construction staking, embankments, earthworks, road base, and pavement layers.

• Ensure accurate positioning of streetlights, road intersections, and utilities.

• Identify and document existing underground utilities as per approved NOC drawings.

🛠 Construction & Quality Control

• Inspect and approve calibration of survey instruments every 6 months.

• Review shop drawings and as-built documentation for compliance.

• Conduct snag list inspections before site handover.

• Ensure proper data collection, verification, and reporting for project execution.

📋 Project Coordination & Documentation

• Work closely with engineers, site supervisors, and project managers to plan and execute survey tasks.

• Record daily activities, observations, and reports for construction progress tracking.

• Solve field-related surveying issues, proposing modifications to construction drawings when necessary.

• Assist in data management and uploads/downloads from survey equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements

✔ Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
✔ Experience: Minimum 7+ years of experience in surveying infrastructure and roads projects
✔ Middle East Experience: Preferred, Al Ain experience is a plus
✔ Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in surveying software & GPS/GIS technologies

• Strong understanding of land mapping, leveling, and alignment calculations

• Knowledge of construction methodologies & site coordination
  ✔ Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
